The site
This plaza in Cherry Hill covers 6.6 acres: a full parking lot, a strip of stores and a wooded slope behind them. The lot was busy the day we flew it.
What we did
Our FAA Part 107 certified pilot mapped the whole plaza in a single flight while the lot was busy. The flight produced a point cloud and an orthomosaic with pixels under half an inch, sharp enough to count every parked car: 55 of them.
Every stall, curb and roof is in the data, and so is the slope behind the stores, in 3D and ready for the surveyor to draft from.
